Unit 14: Digital Magazine Production // Emma // 28/11/2018 Learning Aim B

The proposal

For the magazine we want to provide all movie lovers the content, direct facts, entertainment and reviews + opinions that we feel our audience deserve.
The primary content shall be provided by the director/actor that we interview to get the facts of their film and what they’ve found interesting and not interesting about making the film. Like places they’ve been to film, how they found that place for filming, the struggle in filming for that location and any fun facts that will interest people about what it was like making the film. For example, any funny moments/stories that happened when working on the film.

Technical Considerations

We will need a camera and tripod for taking a picture of the actor/director for the front cover and any other images for the magazine.
We will also need a mic and recorder so that we can record what the director/actor is saying so that we can put it into text for our audience to read.

The costing for renting a camera is as follows from HireAcamera.com

Contributors
The contributors needed for making the magazine are as follows:
Magazine editors
Writer
Interviewer
Actor/Director
Image editors
Location

Locations needed for making our magazine are just a quiet place for recording the interview to be then put into text. That can either be arranged with the actor/director to meet in a hotel room, on set or anything like that.
Then for that actual making of the magazine you can really be anywhere as long as you have the equipment for writing the magazine, editing the photos for the magazine and combining the images and text to the magazine. So anywhere where you can use a laptop or computer to do this is all you really need location wise.
The more important part in the location is where you want to meet up with the actor/director you are interviewing for the magazine.

Assets

The assets needed for the magazine will be the photographer to take the photos of the director/actor that we will be making the magazine issue on, an editor to edit the image(s) together to blend them all in correctly with the magazine, a couple writers who would like to write the reviews the magazine does or any of our secondary content and a proof reader to check that the grammar, spelling and everything else is written correctly.

Equipment

All the equipment that will be needed for the creation of the magazine, is a camera, editing & writing software, microphone and possibly a tripod for is any stable shots are needed to be taken with the camera.

Scheduling & Planning

The schedule for the magazine would be as follows.

For movie reviews:
For film reviews schedule it will be planned as one day for example a Monday, the person writing the review will go and watch the film he/she would like to review then right after watching the review will record his/her thoughts on the film so that it is fresh in her mind and can then be written up for the review.
Then the next day (or same day depending on the time that he/she went to watch the film) will write up the film review to then be edited along with any images wanted for the review.
Once the review is written it will then be ready for the magazines next issue and then be edited the following day(s) onto a magazine page that will include some images of the film that has been reviewed.
